April 24th Luncheon Program
MIHS Refugee Women's Health Clinic
MIHS’s Refugee Women’s Health Clinic is the only one of its kind nationwide dedicated to reaching out to the underserved. MIHS supports the mission of refugee resettlement – which is to promote self-sufficiency in newly-arrived populations. Arizona hosts over 70,000 refugees with an average of 2,000 refugees arriving each year. Approximately half of the resettled refugees are women and girls.
Join us for lunch and learn more about the clinic as we meet Dr. Crista Johnson-Agbakwu, MD and Jeanne Nizigiyimana, co-founders of the Refugee Women’s Health Clinic at the Maricopa County Integrated Health System (MIHS) campus. CEO Steve Purves and COO Kris Gaw, will also be joining us for Q&A after lunch with our member Nita Francis, now board chair of the MIHS Foundation. Bring a guest and don’t miss this thought-provoking opportunity!
