March 23, 2021
4:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Join IWF Northern California for a special session with Congresswoman Jackie Speier!
On November 18, 1978, Jackie Speier was shot 5 times and was left to die on the tarmac in Guyana while on an official Congressional investigation on Jonestown. On January 6, 2021, she laid on the marble floor in Congress while insurgents stormed the U.S. Capitol. Hear her first-person account of what happened in the House of Representatives as the deadly insurrection was taking place.
And now 60 days into the new administration, Jackie will also speak on:
Congressional support of President Biden’s goals on the vaccine rollout, economic stimulus and relief packages and the call for Unity. She will also give her thoughts on the Impeachment Trial.
She’ll discuss her own priorities in the year ahead and in the next 4 years.
And some personal notes on attending the Biden/Harris inauguration with her daughter, ABC 7 Reporter Stephanie Sierra.
Jackie is a fearless fighter for women’s equality, LGBTQIA rights and is dedicated to eliminating government corruption. She is also steadfast in her work to strengthen our national and economic security.
She was named to Newsweek’s list of 150 “Fearless Women” in the world and one of “Politico’s 50” most influential people in American politics for bringing the Me Too reckoning to Congress.
